boerst Is the First User of the Distributed Charge - EV Autopay Payment Module

I'm excited to share that boerst is the first user of the Distributed Charge - EV autopay payment module with Board A0 in his Tesla Model 3. I've been visiting Bitcoin Park with a temporary setup of the Distributed Charge - EV Charger in order to debug and test his setup.

It's been a long road simplifying and documenting the setup process in order to make user setup feasible and it was a great experience working with boerst through the operating system and software setup on the payment module, connecting it to his lightning node, and attaching the payment module's wiring harness to his car. Through all of these exercises we learned a lot and discovered many edge cases that needed to be fixed. You never know what is different until you begin to move out of isolated test environments and introduce new unexpected variables!

It's important to note that no wires have to be cut to install the autopay payment module into a car. It is totally removable and does not interfere with any other types of charging infrastructure. If no bitcoin pricing is presented to the payment module over the charge cable, it passively listens and does not interfere with any other communication with the car. Distributed Charge is open source software, so all users can audit the code before attaching it to their lightning node and maximize privacy and remain in full custody of their bitcoin at all times.
